Acceptable Use Policy

01. Purpose

This Acceptable Use Policy (AUP) defines prohibited behaviour on Camify. It complements our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

02. AI and Identity Misuse (Zero Tolerance)

  • Non-consensual likeness use. Streaming or generating a character based on the face, voice, or recognisable likeness of any real person (public figure, celebrity, politician, colleague, family member, or private individual) without documented, explicit consent from that person.
  • Impersonation, catfishing, and deceptive identity use. Pretending to be someone else in a call, livestream, dating context, KYC/identity verification, or any other interaction.
  • Deepfake-for-harm. Producing or streaming AI content designed to defame, harass, sexually exploit, blackmail, intimidate, defraud, or politically deceive any person.
  • CSAM. Any sexual or suggestive depiction of a minor, real or generated, in any context. Such content will be reported to the relevant authorities including the SAPS and NCMEC.
  • Election and political deception. Generating content that fabricates statements, actions, or appearances of political candidates or officials in a way intended to mislead voters.
  • KYC and financial fraud. Using an AI character in any identity-verification, banking onboarding, or financial transaction flow.

03. General Prohibited Conduct

  • Fraud, scams, phishing, identity theft, or other deceptive conduct.
  • Payment abuse, stolen cards, chargeback fraud, money laundering, or account takeover attempts.
  • Distribution or promotion of illegal content, illegal services, or criminal activity.
  • Harassment, threats, extortion, doxxing, or non-consensual content sharing.
  • Security abuse including malware delivery, exploit attempts, API abuse, or unauthorised automation.
  • Any use that violates applicable law, regulations, or third-party rights.

04. Required User Warranties

By using Camify you warrant that (a) you have the legal right to use any reference image you upload; (b) any face shown on your live video is your own or you have explicit consent from the person whose face appears; and (c) you indemnify Camify and Decart for any third-party claim arising from your violation of these warranties.

05. Enforcement Actions

Camify may investigate suspected violations and take action including:

  • Warnings or requests for clarification.
  • Temporary restriction or suspension.
  • Permanent account termination.
  • Transaction holds or reversals where allowed by law or provider rules.
  • Preservation and disclosure of relevant records for legal compliance and fraud prevention.

06. Reporting Abuse

If you suspect fraud or abuse, submit a report through Report Abuse or email abuse@camifycam.com.
